The powerpoint below was the basis of the first lesson to give students an overview of the expectations and content to be delivered in the series of 5 lessons.
Incorporated in the unit was also a weekly blog and a formative assessment task, designed to give ongoing feedback to the students and teacher.

This is a formative assessment task that would be given after the 5th lesson.
This was not intended for the mark to be added to the final grade, more so for the students to have practise writing an essay in the structure expected in the final summative task and for the teacher to be able to ascertain if the students need additional assistance with the topic or writing strategies.
The P.E.E structure would be taught throughout the unit with assistance offered in class to write, verbal and written feedback would be given to students.
All unit work; powerpoint, poems, resources and blogs are available on the above website to enable students have access to all content on any device at any time, therefore utilising ICT.
